The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Algeria, France, Italy, Libya, Malta, Mauritania, Morocco, Portugal, Tunisia and Spain, who met in Marseille on 28 October in the framework of the 5+5 Dialogue, welcomed the launch of the MedThink 5+5 network and its activities. In its final adopted declaration a reference was made.
The ministerial meeting that was co-presided by Jean-Marc Ayrault, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development of the French Republic and Salaheddine Mezouar, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Morocco, discussed pressing common challenges, mainly related to security, stability, migration and economic and social development in the region. Ministers emphasised the will to continue strengthening cooperation and complementarity between the different frames and modalities of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation: the 5+5 Dialogue, the Union for the Mediterranean, the Anna Lindh Foundation, the European Union, and the Union of Arab Maghreb. Finally, they reaffirmed the priority of job creation and training and professional integration of young people in the framework of the renewed European Neighbourhood Policy and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM).
